The week before valentines day, my husband and I went on a trip to Puerto Rico, and boy can I just tell you how amazing it was. The best part of the trip was the fact that we only spent $400 per person for four days at a resort. Now you're wondering how in the world be did that right? well, let me fill you in on some of my secrets.

Ok, let us dive right into it.
Where I Stayed
We stayed at the Wyndham Garden Resort and it was a beautiful hotel, however, if I could have gone back in time I would have stayed in an Airbnb in Old Sanjuan. Reason being, if you are thinking about exploring, the resorts are 1 hour away from the fun and activities. For all my non-drivers, this might not be a good option for you. Nonetheless, it was beautiful, as we had access to the pool, a private beach, and restaurants.
My husband has an Expedia account, so we decided to book the Fight+Car+Hotel as a package which cost us around $800. If you are under $25 like us, you will get charged a little extra.
For such a short trip, we got a lot done. We didn't book activities through the hotel, as we wanted to explore this beautiful island on our own. Luckily, we met two other married couples on the resort who we did everything with. To find activities, we used Tripadvisor. You cannot go wrong with that.
Let me just say this, the food was amazing. Though we stayed at the resort, we wanted to try the local foods, because they're usually the best. One of my favorites was the Mofongo It's basically crushed boiled green plantain.
Old San Juan has alot of great restaurants. (Check them out)
We also had brunch there as well (Check out these fancy brunch spots (Check them out)
That's All for Now!! I hope this helps you on your next trip to Puerto Rico. Please don't hesitate to ask any question. Leave all comments below.
